Yesterday, Monday April 5th, around 400,000 students from earthquake affected areas returned to school.
As of Monday, the city of Los Angeles and the provinces of Biobio and Ñuble had normal classes for over 90% of the children there. However in the communes of Tome, Cobquecura and Arauco there are still difficulties in starting the classes.
President Sebastian Piñera has announced the deadline of April 26th to have all students back in the classroom. According to The Minister of Education, Joaquin Lavin, the goal can not be expanded because if a child enters later than 50 days after the commencement of a school year it does not count as a full school year.
“We are racing against time, with modular schools BE HANDED OVER(have to be delivered) before April 26. But for now we must continue working full”, Lavin said. After they return all students to class using mosular schools, reconstruction will begin on permanant classrooms.

".... the modular schools have to deliver...." deberìa ser " ..have to be delivered", primero porque los colegios no van a entregar nada, son ELLOS los que van a ser entregados, y segundo, porque me suena que DELIVER es otro tipo de ENTREGA no la entrega de un colegio... a mì me suena mejor el verbo HAND OVER, o sea serìa BE HANDED OVER. "Commune" tambièn me suena raro... porque "commune" tiene màs que ver con un "grupo de personas" que con la ciudad misma. En otro texto que leì, no en este, decìa "has open".. y en este caso es "has opened"... porque OPEN es un adjetivo, y ahì tiene que haber un participio...
